Lamplight Lounge Review

The Kingdom Konsultant agents took on Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park and loved it!  It has such a fun atmosphere with so many neat nods to Pixar. We found ourselves finding all kinds of “Easter Eggs” throughout our meal.

Lamplight Lounge is located in the Pixar Pier area of Disney California Adventure. It is two stories, with awesome views of the water, Pixar Pal-A-Round and Incredicoaster. We sat downstairs on the deck, and got to enjoy this incredible view:

We really enjoyed the relaxed, casual atmosphere. Our server was great and easily handled the large group with multiple checks and various requests. We ordered appetizers and entrees and shared everything because we all wanted to try so many things!

We couldn’t pass up one of Lamplight Lounge’s signature appetizers, the Lobster Nachos. In fact, I think we had several orders! At $23, these were a crowd pleaser and easily shared. A small takeaway from the Lobster Nachos: I got the chipotle crema on the side of my order and my nachos were really only dressed on the top layer. The nachos that were not special order had the toppings layered throughout. Your mileage may vary, but something to consider.

Lobster Nachos
Warm Lobster with Black Beans, Aged Cheddar-Oaxaca Cheese Sauce,
Shredded Cheese Blend, Pico de Gallo, Sliced Serrano Chiles and Chipotle Crema

We also tried Piper’s Clams, a Disney100 special offering, for $24, as well as the Potato Skins ($15), Kung Pao Bao ($21), Brussels Caesar ($14) and Salmon PLT ($24). I think we cleaned every plate! The Potato Skins were more like a croquette as opposed to a traditional potato skin, and they were wonderful! Piper's Clams had a tomato-fennel sauce with chorizo and butter which was SO flavorful! Since these are available on a limited basis (as far as we know), run, don't walk, to get these! I had read a review that the Kung Pao Bao was VERY spicy, but Agent Ashley found it to have an enjoyable spice level. She said her lips tingled a bit but the heat was manageable.

We all really enjoyed our time at Lamplight Lounge and would definitely recommend. It’s a great place for a light bite to share or a full meal, with a very chill, fun atmosphere. We will definitely return on our next trip!
