Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish

For the first time in forever you can enjoy a Frozen-themed dining experience! Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is one of the three rotational dining rooms aboard the Disney Wish on Disney Cruise Line. It's a must-do experience for Frozen fans! Not only will you enjoy a dinner worth melting for but you'll also enjoy enchanting musical performances and get to see some of your favorite Frozen friends.

The restaurant transports you to the Kingdom of Arendelle where Queen Anna and Kristoff are celebrating their engagement. Some of my favorite details in this restaurant are located in the hallway when you enter. There are so many cute nods to the movie.
"Hang in there, Joan"
The hallway is also where you will find the restrooms and some of the super cute restroom signs on the ship! (Seriously, the Disney Wish has SO many cute restroom signs! You may think I'm crazy for noticing restroom signs but it's hard to ignore when they are this cute. You have to admit that these are adorable!)

The wonderful details continue into the restaurant with some great touches from Frozen and Frozen II. From floor to ceiling, the Imagineers did an amazing job! I love the details on the backs of the chairs.  The artwork located around the restaurant is definitely worth a look. You may even see a nod to an EPCOT pavilion in one of the paintings.
Arendelle is located on Deck 5 Aft
The tables at Arendelle are spread out around a central stage where the performances take place. We were seated at Table 304 and unfortunately it was pretty far away from the stage located in the middle of the restaurant. We could still see some of what was happening, and of course we could hear the performances, so it wasn't a total loss but it was a little bit of a bummer to be so far away. If being close to the stage is important to you, make sure to submit a table request to be seated closer to the stage. Disney can't guarantee the request but they'll do their best to honor it.

The menu at Arendelle includes Norwegian-inspired cuisine and is broken into sections of Smorgasbord (Appetizers), Salads, From the Kettle, Entrees, Vegetarian and Lighter Note options. We started the meal off with bread service and a cocktail. I went with the Frozen Fractals cocktail because I love that lyric in Let It Go. The drink was very blue and glittery! It was a lot prettier than it tasted but it wasn't bad. Just not my favorite.

Bread service of Six-Grain Viking Loaf with Roasted Onion Dip
Frozen Fractals
Ciroc, Peach, Moet & Chandon Ice
While we waited for our food, we enjoyed performances of some of our favorite Frozen songs by local Arendelle musicians, along with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf. Wandering Oaken also makes an appearance to welcome everyone to his restaurant. After their performance, the characters made their way around the restaurant to say hello. We were located right next to the aisle so even though we didn't have a great view of the stage, we had a great view of the characters as they made their way around the restaurant.

Shrimp Tarragon Bisque, Rainbow Carrots, Leeks, flaky Pastry

Jarlsberg Cheese & Rosemary Ham Tart
Gala Apple, Williams Pear Compote
I also ordered the Nordic Cucumber, Potato & Carrot Salad because I was feeling the need for something light. Luckily I didn't waste too many calories on this salad as it was not worth ordering. It was very bland in flavor. I definitely wouldn't order it again.
Nordic Cucumber, Potato & Carrot Salad
Baby Oakleaf, Lolla Rossa Lettuce
We also ordered Sven's Favorite Carrot Soup. I don't remember a lot about this dish so I guess we didn't love it or hate it. I'd have to order it again to jog my memory!

Caraway, Rye Sippits
The Kids' Menu at Arendelle is another great detail as it looks like the Arendelle flag. The other side of the menu has some fun activities for the kids like a word scramble and maze. Some of the Kids Menu items include Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Mini Cheeseburger on Brioche Bun and Kristoff's Whole-Wheat Penne Pasta with Meatballs. My son was in a particular mood this evening so he ordered apples and fries for his meal.

For entrees, I went with a classic meat and potato dish, the Garlic & Thyme Roasted Beef Rib-Eye. The dish was delicious. My husband ordered the Arendelle Kjottkake and he was also very pleased with his selection.

Double-baked Potato, Buttered Broccoli, Sweet Honey-Roasted Carrots, Cabernet Jus

Braised Meatballs, Rosemary Cream Reduction, Egg Noodles, Lingonberry Chutney
There was a final performance of a few songs from the Frozen films and we were invited to get up and dance around the restaurant! My kids were being difficult but I grabbed my youngest and forced him to take a dance around the aisles with me. When else are you going to get a chance to dance in a restaurant? I couldn't let the fun moment pass us by!
When we returned to our table, our desserts were there waiting for us. We decided to try a few different dessert options because why not?! We were on vacation! We ordered the Olaf's Campfire S'more Bar from the Kids Menu and of course, my kids didn't eat it. Oh, well. More for us to enjoy! I ordered the Eplekake, Apple Cake and my husband ordered the Norwegian Pancake Roulade. We also ordered an "It's Elsa's Coronation Sundae!" Our cruise was a Halloween on the High Seas itinerary so we had some Halloween chocolate added to the top of the sundae. My son, the same one who ate apples and fries for dinner, wanted a donut for dessert, which wasn't on the menu. Our server was the sweetest Cast Member and actually got him a donut!
Olaf's Campfire S'more Bar
Graham Cracker, Roasted Marshmallow, Oreo Cookies, Double Chocolate, Vanilla Ice Cream
Eplekake, Apple Cake
Caramel Sauce, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Florentine Almond Crunch
Norwegian Pancake Roulade
Pancake, Lingonberry Jam, Gjovik White Chocolate Cheesecake
"It's Elsa's Coronation Sundae!"
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Marshmallows, fresh Whipped Cream, Snowflakes
Donut (not on menu)
We enjoyed all of the desserts with the Eplekake being my personal favorite. I don't think I would order the "It's Elsa's Coronation Sundae!" again but that's just because I'm not a huge fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Overall, our dinner experience at Arendelle was a really great one. We enjoyed the majority of the options we chose from the menu (with only a few disappointments) and the performances were really enjoyable! Out of the three rotational dining restaurants on the Disney Wish, Arendelle was my second favorite and it missed out on being my favorite by a very small margin. I would happily dine here again on a future cruise. I just hope we are seated with a better view of the stage.
