Instagram worthy locations you should visit in Queensland, Australia

Instagram has replaced the travel magazines of the past, with travellers showing off the iconic locations and photos from their travels. Whether they are on the beach taking in the sunshine and enjoying themselves in the pristine seawater or they are off the beaten track surrounded by nature, people will post and gain Klout from the Instagram community for their spectacular visuals.

Every country has amazing Instagram locations to offer, but Australia arguably has the most variety to offer. Vast in size with different climates and sub-cultures, two weeks of travelling in one of the Australian States can provide you with enough Instagram-worthy shots for up to 6 months. Don’t believe me? Here’s a few great places that you should visit in Queensland.

Fairy pools, Noosa Heads

Located 90 minutes north of Brisbane, you can find the Fairy Pools in Noosa. Noosa is already an amazing place to visit, with its white sandy beaches, surfer culture and tranquil lifestyle. But if you venture into Noosa National Park, you can follow the footpath which will lead you to the pools.

Below is a picture of one Instagrammer who chose to take a photo with a floatie.

Birdsville, Simpson Desert – Queensland

Australia is known for the red deserts of the outback. Travel to Birdsville in Central Queensland and not only will you experience the wonders of life in the countryside, but you will also see the iconic red sand dunes that the desert offers. Swirling patterns that reflect off the evening sun are a wonder. Check out the following photo from Instagram below.

North Stradbroke Island

One of the amazing places to visit, which isn’t too far away from Brisbane is North Stradbroke Island. You can easily commute there by car or campervan and commute on the barge to the island. You can choose to return on the same day or spend a few days exploring the island. You will be enchanted by the sea waters and the coastline.

Check out this Instagram picture on the island below.

Ellinjaa Falls, Atherton Tablelands – Queensland

There’s something about waterfalls that calms the mind and creates a sense of wonder. Queensland boasts several waterfalls, which you can easily access if you follow the M1 highway on the East Coast. But should you travel to North-East Queensland, the one waterfall site that you must visit is the Ellinjaa Falls in the Atherton Tablelands.

Secluded on the backdrop of a rainforest setting, it makes for the perfect setting when taking an iconic Instagram picture.

Hill Inlet – Whitehaven beach

One of the most iconic areas you can visit is Hill Inlet, which has swirling sands that cascade with the turquoise waters in North-East Queensland. There are no words that can describe the amazing backdrop for an amazing Instagram shot.

What is the best way to see these places?

In Australia, you need to have a car to get from place to place. So it’s best to either hire or purchase a car. But if you can hire a campervan it will give you more freedom to travel off the beaten path and stay for days or even weeks at a time, if you find a location that you love.

You can compare campervan hire quotes on Camper Champ, which is a Queensland-based campervan hire comparison site and should help you find the cheapest deal, so you can save money and enjoy the visual spoils that Queensland has to offer.

The memories from photos last a lifetime. The ones that you take and share on Instagram can also be shared with others who seek to share the same experience as you. There are so many places that you can explore in Queensland. But make sure these places are on your Instagram bucket list!
