Spent a day freedeiving and exploring Smugglers Bay. Loads to see, great spot but it was a bit choppy. All starfish etc were returned to the sea bed where I found them.
The baby seal on the shore was there when we arrived, we kept our distance but his mother was no where to be seen. There is a fish farm not too far away and they sometimes shoot the seals who steel fish so we worried she might have died. We called the local sea life sanctuary and after his mother didn’t return, they took him in. That’s the last we saw of Sammy the seal.
Music by Fat Freddy’s Drop (an awesome NZ band) check them out!
