Crystal ski holidays

As Colorado welcomes its first bouts of snow, England is welcomed by another precipitous sensation: rain. Not that that’s a bad thing. Rain makes the rolling hills of the English countryside so lush and so green. It waters the entire country so you don’t have to worry about taking those extra long showers. It gives you the characteristic squish squish sound underneath your boots. It’s the essence of Mother Nature, and it’s what makes the UK unique and beautiful. There is one thing rain is missing, however. It’s not snow.

Snow makes me think of winter. Winter makes me think of the holidays. The holidays make me think of family time, in a land far away from work. Snow is makes the Colorado Rockies so famous. Its powdery goodness is perfect for carving with those fine skis you’ve been saving up for, or for sledding down the hill with your dog. It gives you the characteristic crunch crunch sound underneath your boots. Sometimes, I miss snow. And I miss skiing and snowboarding and sledding and making snow angels in it. There is sometimes snow in the Scottish Highlands, but it’s just not the same.

Last week, Crystal Ski Holidays invited us to go to a press event at the Chill Factor in Manchester. It was tons of fun, and meeting with the Crystal Ski marketing group, Marion and Kirsty was great. They were both so kind and fun to talk to!
