My dear mother spotted the couple who owns Cafe Amore Mio waving signs about in the front (first week of opening) and quickly directed us inside.

The place was bare with a few special trinkets inside including a wall filled with an array of paintings from the very talented Pippa Mcmanus sourced from the gallery next door.

We were warmly greeted by both of the owners; A travelling couple who were from different sides of Europe, (The Netherlands and Italy) though oddly met in Melbourne and ended up travelling around Australia by Van to Perth. They Fell in love with both the city and each other and hence opened the Cafe Amore Mio. We are overly happy with this decision!

The cafe serves authentic italian stone baked pizzas and calzones with premium ingredients including handmade gluten free pizzas with flour from naples. They also serve up some mean burgers (arguably the best in the area) deserts and Some scrumptious breakfast choices as well!

We chose the Margarita and Cacciatore Pizza and avoided the fancier choices brimming with ingredients. I like to test out a pizza joint first by checking if they can master the basics. And boy did they! The base was perfectly crispy and baked to perfection enveloping the fresh and fine quality ingredients. It was not long until I sneaked inside again a week later with mother and tried the Montanara Pizza which is described on the menu as: A Pesto of porcini Mushroom & San Giovanni dei Gelsi black truffle, stracchino cheese, mushroom trifolati, champagne leg ham, mozzarella, white truffle oil & shaved pecorino Sardo. Absolutely Mouth Watering! I almost fell off my chair and expect to do so again next week. See you Soon Cafe Amore Mio!
