The Governor of an Indian state is the constitutional head of the state to which she/he is appointed. The President of India appoints a government for each of the country’s 29 states. The governor is only the de jure or ceremonial head of state, all executive decisions are actually taken by the elected council of ministers headed by the chief minister of the state. The governor, however, also
