The Isle of Wight – There’s More to See and Do than you think

Isle of Wight Steam Railway

The Isle of Wight Steam Railway allows visitors to experience the by-gone time of steam travel while taking in the spectacular views of the island. The faithfully restored train and carriages gives passengers a taste of what travel was really like during the Victorian and Edwardian eras and a unique look into the history of the island’s railways.

Passengers can get on and off the train at any of the four stops allowing them to see these impressive engines as they pass by.

Carisbrooke Castle

Carisbrooke Castle has been a strategic battlement over 1,000 years, with the main structure of the castle now dating back from the Middle Ages. Visitors to the castle can explore the spectacular Norman keep and wall walk, enjoy the delights of the Princess Beatrice garden and learn about the history of the Isle of Wight at the exhibition and castle museum.
