I went for a New Year's visit to a Shinto shrine.

There were a lot of people and they were praying.


It was a bonfire of the Shinto shrine.


Sweet alcoholic drink made from sake lees was served.


This is a mask with the image of a lion that is used for a lion dance at New Year.
