A Review Of Riviera Nayarit Vacations

By Timothy Miller

Mexico is undoubtedly among the top Vacation destinations in the South American continent. Each year, the country welcomes thousands of vacation goers who visit to bask in the sprawling sandy beaches along its coast. The following is an overview of what one is bound to experience during Riviera Nayarit Vacations.

This location lies on a 200 mile stretch along the Pacific coastline in Mexico. Besides its blissful beaches, it is also renowned for its many picturesque towns, resorts and unique history. Owing to its importance to the local tourism industry, it gets regular development funding from the government. The following are some of the standout locations in the area.

Many visiting vacationers have a tendency to visit Sayulita before heading to the other destinations. It is a quiet place, quite unlike what one would experience in many of the top vacation locations in the country. Its buildings are mostly low rise, with an architectural touch that is bohemian. On any given day, one is bound to see vacationers strolling around barefoot. Many simply think of it as a beach village.

Vendors always line the streets selling a wide range of curios and freshly plucked fruits. If you do not fancy the idea of strolling barefoot, simply board a golf cart and explore the streets. Many surfers also flock the area thanks to the constant presence of huge waves pounding the beach. There are paddle boarding and surfing lessons available on site.

There are lots of options when it comes to accommodation. The most famous facility is the Playa Escondida Resort. With 24 rooms, it lies on top of a cliff just by the beach. The villa like design of the rooms, large beds, spacious patios and Mexican tiled floors simply ooze elegance. There is an infinity pool that is suitable for the young and old as well. When looking for great discounts, most experienced vacationers like hiring tour agencies to do their bidding.

Not far from Sayulita is a place called Punta Mita. Once a fishing village, it is a haven for international tourists today. Ancient Huichol Indians used to reside at the location and performed a spring festival every year. There are a plethora of luxury resorts nestled in the area, so accommodation should be the least of you concern. Most of the resorts in Punta Mita feature international golf courses. Most tourists visit the place before heading to the nearby Marietas Islands.

Nuevo Vallarta should also be in your itinerary if you cherish wildlife, both on land and in the sea. The biggest non artificial bay in Mexico, the Banderas Bay, plays host to this site. There are many humpback whales, leatherback turtles and hawksbills. The sole Starbucks restaurant in the region is also present here.

There are many other interesting locations in the region. They include San Blas, Chacala Bay and Puerto Vallarta. These sites have a great reputation for their wildlife, beaches and unique architecture. A visit is what you need to make your vacation memorable.
