Welcome to Schleswig-Holstein. A German state slightly larger than Connecticut, but with the highest concentrations of Wind generating capacity in Europe, if not the world. Means it's windy as @#$% here. Yep, it's Earth Day 2012. The day designated to increase our awareness and appreciation for Earth's natural environment. There are over 2900 wind turbines operating in Schleswig-Holstein. This one is just on the other side of the street from where I'm staying, so of course I have a lot of photos of it.
