A journey in a Hot Air Balloon will give you the perfect vantage point to take in any view in the world. Floating in the wind with a bird’s eye view of the vistas below is an experience that relatively few have experienced. If you were to undergo this fantastic experience, where would you go? The world is a huge place and the choice of destinations is numberless, therefore deciding on your ideal journey is not as straight forward as you would imagine. In case you are lucky enough to have to make this difficult decision, I have made a few suggestions below that I hope will help.

The Serengeti

This area would definitely be top of my list. Africa is a huge continent and contains millions of animals, but there are few places that you can see animal migrations on this scale. People are often in awe when on safari, but being able to float over the animals you see, and not disturbing their natural behavior is something beyond compare. Perhaps the most amazing thing would be to follow the migrations, and see at first hand the millions of animals involved. Following the migration from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara is probably every animal planet watchers dream. This journey would be sure to be both wild and exciting.

The Outback

From a journey teeming with life to one that most certainly isn’t. The Outback is a magnificent place to enjoy a journey in a Hot Air balloon, but for very different reasons. Travelling over this huge expanse will give you a true idea of how barren and rugged a landscape the outback is. No matter how hard you try to visualize something that you may have seen in movies or read about in books, nothing can prepare you for the reality. Even those who live in the outback have no real grasp of it, unless they have travelled over it as you can in a hot air balloon.

The Grand Canyon

This is a truly spectacular place to take a hot air balloon ride. The Grand Canyon, situated in Colorado, is awe inspiring enough when viewed in a photograph or on film, but actually being inside it is another experience altogether. There is no point along its length that you would not feel amazed when looking over the edge into its depths; so imagine being in a hot air balloon and floating over the edge, then going down into those depths on your very own voyage of discovery. After that descent you would be spending your time following the curves of this incredible natural terrain. This journey has been chiseled out of the bare rock by Mother Nature herself, and it will undoubtedly be chiseled in your memory for the rest of your life.

These are all stunning destinations to visit, and ones that most people would love to see. However, if the views were from the gondola of a hot air balloon they would surely be better experiences; I hope everybody gets to try them in the future.
