Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Vidarbha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at many places over Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala; at a few places over Marathwada and Telangana; at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Madhya Maharashtra, north Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. The amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Maya Bandar­-12; Wardha-­7; Yeotmal and Chandrapur-­6 each; Amraoti and Betul-­5 each; Long Islands and Nagpur-­4 each; Harnai, Durg and Pachmarhi­-3 each; Akola, Gwalior and Buldana-­2 each. 


♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at most places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal & Sikkim; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, northeastern states, Saurashtra & Kutch and Tamilnadu; at a few places over Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. They are below normal by 5-­8°C at most places over Vidarbha and by 2­-4°C at many places over Marathwada, Telangana and Andaman & Nicobar islands; at a few places over Odisha and south Interior Karnataka and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, northeastern states, Gujarat region, Konkan & Goa, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, east Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest of the country.
