We all know that feeling when we board a flight. You either have them or you don’t. If you have them you are most certainly going to flaunt them and use them and if you don’t have them you are probably going to look enviously at those that do have them.

Of course we are talking about Noise Cancelling headsets or headphones. These things vary in price range from about 35 dollars all the way up to about 500 dollars and perhaps even more. There is no doubt though that the leading brands in this area is the tried, tested and very well loved Bose noise cancelling headsets and then there is the new hip and trendy new kid on the block, Beats by Dr Dre.

It is very hard to separate these 2 and find a winner. They both do exactly as you would expect from them and perform their noise cancelling duties. The lowest line of Beats come in at a slightly lower price than the lowest line of Bose and their is somewhat of a difference. The Bose headsets at the same or similar price as the Beats come off slightly better in the noise cancelling department.

With that said, there are far more options when it comes to the style of Beats. So if you are looking for a particular look, or wish to accessorize as well as have practical headphones, the Beats may just be the better option.

Both the Beats and the Bose fit very snugly on the ears, there is none of that unwanted slipping or tugging that is sometimes the case with cheaper headsets. In terms of the comfortable factor it is hard to pick, but I think Bose come up trumps once again.

Whether you want to Beats or Bose, they are both superb options.
