There is no doubt that flight and flying has changed the world but here is a reason that you may not have thought of. Drones are a fairly new intrigue in the world of flying. For some it is merely a leisure but Drones Save Lives.

Here is how:

Organ donation is a huge part of saving lives these days. It is a highly time sensitive issue that requires getting the organ to the patient in need in a very short space of time. Whether it is a heart or a cornea, there is no time to waste.

India is a country that is well known for many things, among them, terrible traffic. This complicates getting organs, usually from an accident scene to the patient in need, who is most likely in a hospital.

India has therefore begun investigating a method whereby they will use drones to transport organs from accident scenes to hospitals where they are needed. This will cut the time that it would take an ambulance to transport the organs on the congested roads.

But there is more to it. While it has not been investigated by any country or authority as of yet but drones could serve multiple purposes in the medical emergency field.

Drones can obviously be used in the search and rescue part of emergency medicine but they can also be used to transport medicine and supplies to hard-to-reach areas. Even beyond that, it is quite fathomable that drones will begin to play an incredibly vital role in the area of natural disaster management.

Perhaps most importantly people are thinking when will they be able to get a human on a drone. Some are saying that this is not the best idea in the world, others are saying that it has already been done, they call it a helicopter.

Either way, drones Save Lives.
