Fly private at Newark Liberty (EWR) to avoid bad weather delays

Snow, thunderstorms, wind and fog. Newark gets is all.  Like the other two airports on this list serving NYC, Newark gets its fair share of inclement weather. However, what most frequently causes flight delays at Newark is wind.  Two of Newark’s three runways run southwest to northeast. West to northwest crosswinds are common and even on sunny days they can create issues for planes trying to land.

Only on rare occasions do our private charters use any of the commercial NYC-area airports, as we prefer to avoid their ground and air traffic.  The majority of our NY/NJ flights depart from and arrive into Teterboro (TEB). Fortunately for those stranded at Newark by their commercial flight, Teterboro is just a 30-minute drive.  As the busiest private airport in the U.S., there’s a good chance that an aircraft will be available to quickly and seamlessly fill in for your delayed flight.
