As the fourth busiest airport in the U.S., and a major hub for connecting flights, it doesn’t take severe weather to derail flights plans at Dallas Fort Worth. Summer thunderstorms are the most frequent offender of Weather Delays at DFW. Snow and ice are rare, but have a significant impact on operations at the airport, which is unaccustomed to facilitating during these conditions.
Again, as the major airport serving the metroplex, we avoid operating our private charters from DFW. Instead our charters go from Dallas Love Field (DAL) which sees significantly less traffic and therefore fewer delays. Less than 30 minutes west of DFW, heading to Love Field for a private flight is your best shot at avoiding hours wandering DFW’s vast terminal.
