Venchi The Exchange TRX
Venchi The Exchange Trx is the second Venchi outlet in Malaysia. When Venchi opened in Pavilion KL last month, it went crazy. Queues up to 2 hours is a common sight last month but the craze is slowly fading off.
I was at Venchi The Exchange TRX yesterday and there is only a short queue. While many Malaysians go to Venchi for their gelato, they are popular for their chocolate.
Venchi is an Italian gourmet chocolate manufacturer founded in early 1878 in Turin Italy by chocolatier Silviano Venchi. For those who travelled to Italy, they might have tasted Venchi during their time there.
Venchi has expanded to over 180 stores in cities like London, Berlin, Hong Kong, Dubai, Tokyo, New York, Singapore and Malaysia.
How much is Venchi Gelato in Malaysia?
The Venchi Gelato starts from RM 33 for small size (2 scoops), RM 38 for mid size (3 scoops) and RM 43 for large size (4 scoops). You have a choice of using the cone or cup.
I brought the kids to Venchi The Exchange TRX yesterday. They ran out of gelato flavours, only left four and they are Piedmont Hazelnut, Cappuccino, Tartufato (milk choc, hazelnut grain and choc spread) and Yogurt.
You can also take home the gelato at 500g for RM 90, 750g for RM 135 and 1000g for RM 175.
I ordered Venchi Gelato large size for sharing with all the four flavours, Piedmont Hazelnut, Cappuccino, Tartufato (milk choc, hazelnut grain and choc spread) and Yogurt.
Let me be honest, the Venchi Gelato is good but it is not mind blowing. I love the texture, I love the taste but it is not great. One of the factor is I might not tasted the popular flavours as they were sold out so.
Is Venchi Gelato expensive? For Venchi Gelato large size with four scoops, I think it is comparable to other premium ice cream or gelato places in KL.
Will I go back again? Yes, next I wanted to try other Venchi Gelato flavours as well as their popular Venchi chocolates. What do you guys think?
