In Bangkok My Bike Taxi Went To Different Direction

As you all know, I just went to Bangkok with my family recently. During the trip, I went to custom made my new suit so I took a Bike Taxi to save time and to beat the traffic jam. I ordered the bike taxi using Grab app as usual as it was the fastest way to commute in Bangkok.

It was a long ride and even on bike taxi, the Google Map shows at least 25 minutes of traveling. During the ride, suddenly my bike taxi went to different direction from the Google Map. Instead of turning left, the bike taxi went straight for a very long time.

Was the bike taxi going to kidnap me to sell to the border as many viral news claim? It didn’t. To be honest, I was worried that the bike taxi is going to the wrong place!

It went straight for a longer route but to avoid the traffic jam. I know many people are over worried about ‘kidnapping’ but in fact, there is isolated ransom cases involved targeted people but not tourists as many worried.

Somewhere along the stops, I just took random photos of other Korean passengers. Not just Korean ladies but many other tourists (and female tourists) are taking bike taxis too.

Bangkok is generally safe for tourists especially for Malaysians but scams are always there and not just in Thailand but around the world. In Bangkok My Bike Taxi Went To Different Direction but don’t panic and you can ask them why if you are worried.
