The first Gashapon Bandai Official Shop is Opening in Malaysia

Good news for Gashapon lovers! The first Gashapon Bandai Official Shop is Opening in Malaysia at IOI City Mall Putrajaya 2 and this will be the first Bandai Official Shop in South East Asia.

Gashapon is the capsule toys vending machine and it is also a trademark of Bandai. The Gashaopon is originated in the 1960s and it is popular in Japan and worldwide. ‘Gashapon’ meaning is from two sounds ‘gasha’ for the hand cranking action of the vending machine and ‘pon’ is the sound of the toy capsule landing at the collection tray.

You can find many variety of toys in Gashapon machine and they have a huge fan base of collectors in Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and around the world.

The idea is quite unique as it is a ‘blind’ draw. You won’t know what you getting until you open the gashapon. You know the toys / items of the series but you will never know which one you will be getting as it is random. Some ‘secret’ gashapon are rare and can fetch high value in collectors market.

There are not many information available for the first Gashapon Bandai Official Shop is Opening in Malaysia. It is located at L3-2-1, IOI City Mall Putrajaya Phase 2 and the opening date is 23 February 2023.
