Wat Chue Chang Chinese Temple Hatyai

Wat Chue Chang Chinese Temple Hatyai

Everyone is going to Hatyai nowadays and time to share one of the newest Chinese temple in the city, Wat Chue Chang. This temple is newly built and completed this year and not many people knows about this place.

The Wat Chue Chang Chinese Temple is located at 55 Supasarnrangsan Rd, Tambon Hat Yai. You can walk to this temple from Lee Gardens Mall for around five minutes and hence it is very easy to go.

You can easily spot the temple with its beautiful green ‘gate’. There are two tigers on each side and these are tiles. This reminds me of old Chinese temples in Malaysia.

The unique part about this temple is the walls are mostly built with tiles and ceramic. These tiles and ceramics are brand new but where did they source it from? The details is amazing to be honest.

When you walk into the main hall you can see the beautiful huge white pillars and if you go closer, you can see the details of the animal characters and designs.

You can come here for praying or come here to appreciate these unique designs of the tiles and ceramics of sceneries, animals and mythical creatures like qilins and dragons.

I didn’t go up to the upper floors as it was just a short touch and go trip to check out the new Wat Chue Chang Chinese Temple in Hatyai
