Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine Famous Nasi Lemak

This is another short food sharing and food review session. This is the famous Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine located at 27M, Jalan SS 21/37, Uptown Damansara Utama. Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine has been around for years and it is one of the restaurants popular for their Nasi Lemak.

They are located on the first floor and it is a cozy restaurant. Usually they are packed during brunch and lunch hours with regular customers from the neighbour as well as the offices nearby.

I didn’t take a lot of photos during our visit but Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine offers a variety of Nasi Lemak and I ordered the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng and Nasi Lemak with Salted Egg Chicken.

Let’s talk about their Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng. The rice is fragrant with coconut milk, crispy fried chicken with tender meat, sambal is better than expected. The rendang sauce is additional order as I prefer my nasi lemak with sambal and rendang. To be honest, Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine’s nasi lemak is better than I expected.

This is their signature nasi lemak dish and you must try this. How many restaurants out there are offering salted egg chicken with nasi lemak? I can say it is probably none. On top of their usual nasi lemak, this comes with the salted egg chicken. Fried chicken coated with generous amount of salted egg, this is savoury with hints of spiciness. The combination of salted egg chicken with nasi lemak and their sambal is unique but it works! To be honest, I don’t mind coming for this nasi lemak with salted egg chicken.

Like I mentioned, this is a short food sharing and food review. I was there for a quick lunch and only ordered two versions of their nasi lemak. They also offer nasi lemak with butter chicken and maybe you might want to order that too. Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine famous nasi lemak definitely lives up to their reputation and it is a good alternative to the famous Village Park nasi lemak which is located on the same road and down the road.
