Phuket Sandbox Starts On 1st July 2021

For your information, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will proceed the Phuket Sandbox starts on 1^st July 2021. TAT has sent the official letter to international travel partners confirming the opening of Phuket sandbox yesterday.

We blogged about the Phuket Sandbox few months ago. This is part of the Thailand roadmap to open for vaccinated tourists to boost their tourism sector.

What is Phuket Tourism Sandbox?

The Phuket Tourism Sandbox will depend on vaccine allocation to the island and it must achieve herd immunity by inoculating 70% of the population before allowing vaccinated foreign visitors by July 2021.

This is the official TAT letter sent to international partner by governor of TAT, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn.

When can Malaysian visit Thailand? This is the most common question our friends and our followers asked us for the past year. Honestly, we have no idea when Malaysia is ready to open its borders but you need to get COVID 19 vaccinated first and then you have better chance of traveling to Thailand. If you are not vaccinated, you will have no chance of traveling to Thailand. Please get vaccinated first and then you can start dreaming of traveling to Thailand.

We are happy to see Phuket is on track for the opening of Phuket Sandbox on 1^st July 2021. We enjoyed traveling around Phuket, staying in different part of the island as well as enjoying their local food. We know everyone is frustrated with the COVID-19 pandemic and eager to travel. What we can do now is get vaccinated or stay at home during this Movement Control Order (MCO) and stay safe. Phuket or Thailand will be there for everyone, get vaccinated and take care. We will travel when it is safe for us to do so. It is official, Phuket Sandbox Starts On 1st July 2021.
