Siong Tong Gai IOI Puchong Mall

Siong Tong Gai is one of the popular places for steamed fish and seafood at Ioi Puchong Mall. They are located at the First Fall of the new wing of IOI Puchong Mall and they are in the same group of restaurants with Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga, Bandar Puchong Utama, Puchong. The difference is Siong Tong Gai is pork free restaurant and they are located inside the mall instead of shop lots.

There is also a new Siong Tong Gai restaurant located at Eko Cheras Mall. Both restaurants are very popular and hence it is usually packed. The Siong Tong Gai is located within the food section of IOI Puchong Mall.

This is for the kids. Since this is the pork free restaurant, we ordered the sweet and sour chicken. The texture of the chicken is tender and the kids loved the sweet and sour sauce taste so no complaints.

This Steamed Seafood hotpot is their signature dish and you can customize your ingredients. The more seafood you choose, it will be more expensive. We ordered our Steamed Seafood hotpot with prawns, clams, squid with lots of garlic and chopped chilies and their Superior broth.

The broth is tasty with the natural flavour from the prawns, clams and the squids. The garlic and chillies adds more fiery flavour so this is good.

On top of the Steamed Seafood hotpot, we also ordered the steamed Patin Fish. It is the similar Superior broth with lots of chopped garlic, spring onion and chillies. We enjoyed the freshness and the natural sweetness of the fish flavour, the fish was steamed to perfection and this is good to go with rice.

Another dish we ordered for our boys, this is the salted egg squid. The squid is lighted coated with batter and salted egg and deep fried to perfection. The outer layer is crispy with the salted egg taste while texture is of the squid is soft. The kids loved this.

We need some green to balance the seafood dishes so we ordered the stir fried green dragon vegetables. This is the same family of the chives but with amazing texture and taste.

The food in general is good and the steamed seafood hotpot is a bit pricey. If you are not a big fan of the seafood, you can order other food without the steamed seafood hotpot and the food prices here will be reasonable. Siong Tong Gai Ioi Puchong Mall is worth to visit, just order what you think you prefer and be there early to avoid the queue.
