4 Days 3 Nights Bangkok Shopping Itinerary 2017

4 Days 3 Nights Bangkok Shopping Itinerary 2017

This is the new Bangkok Shopping itinerary we promised and it will be different than the old ones we did. We have included new places to visit which includes shopping malls as well as night markets. What we removed is the night markets that are located far from the city centre. This 4 Days 3 Nights Bangkok Shopping Itinerary 2017 will be focusing in the city center, more convenient and better recommendations.

The 4 days 3 nights itinerary will be inclusive of weekend. There are reasons for that. You don’t need to take more leaves and most of the night markets are opened during weekends only.

It is highly recommended you visit Bangkok from Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday. Book your flights early so you get the best deals.

4 Days 3 Nights Bangkok Shopping Itinerary 2017 Day 1

Morning

Flies in to Bangkok and transfer to your accommodation, your homestay, hostel or hotel. Most accommodation check in time is around 2pm and 3pm on wards so if you reached Bangkok early, you can leave your luggage at the concierge of the hotel.

Please take note that morning flights to Bangkok is usually expensive except you booked it early or during special promo.

Afternoon

You could be flying in to Bangkok and transfer to your accommodation and check in around 3pm. Take a quick shower and time to walk around in Bangkok city center. There are many places to stay in Bangkok but most Asians prefer to stay in Pratunam. If you prefer Pratunam, you might want to read Top 20 Hotels in Pratunam Bangkok near Platinum Mall.

We listed down six shopping malls you can visit and they are:

1.Terminal 21 Shopping Mall

Terminal 21 Shopping Mall is one of our favourite shopping malls in Bangkok. It is near the train stations and the concept of the mall is an airport terminal with each floor representing a city. For example, 1st floor is Tokyo theme while 2nd floor is London theme.

LG Floor – Caribbean
G Floor – Rome
M Floor – Paris
1st Floor – Tokyo
2nd Floor – London
3rd Floor – Istanbul
4th Floor – San Francisco (City)
5th Floor – San Francisco (Pier)
6th Floor – Hollywood

On the 5th Floor is the famous Pier 21 Food Court. It is probably the best food court in Bangkok. You can find some of the best street food stalls in Pier 21 Food Court with street food price. You can get a Pad Thai for around 30THB and many other good local food here. That is the reason why this food court is always packed with locals and tourists. There are also many restaurants to check out in Terminal 21.

For shopping each, Terminal 21 offers a good variety of shopping experience. They might not be the cheapest place to shop but we find this place really walk-able and enjoyable. One of our favourite local brands like ‘Old Skull’ has a boutique here in Terminal 21.

There is also a spa and cinema on the 6th Floor.

Train: BTS Asok Station Exit 1, MRT Sukvumhit Exit 3

2.Central World Shopping Mall

Central World Shopping Mall is the largest mall in Bangkok. It is huge and you can take a BTS train to this mall. They are ideally located in between BTS Chilom and BTS Siam. You can find anchor tenant such as Japanese departmental store Isetan and Zen Megastore. There are plenty of locals and International brands in this mall.

There are many popular restaurants in Central World. You can Japanese famous cheese tart BAKE, After You Dessert, Taling Pling Thai restaurant and many more.

For shopping, you will be spoilt with choices. You can custom made your own T shirt in Uniqlo and dozens of retail stores in this mall. There is also the cinema on the top floor.

Train: BTS Chitlom or BTS Siam

3.Siam Discovery Shopping Mall

Siam Discovery Shopping Mall went thru a huge renovation and reopened last year. The result is stunning. The architecture and the interior design of the mall is simply brilliant. You can find many popular Japanese fashion brand here as well as Japanese street wear.

Be amazed by the interior design of this mall and most importantly the things you can shop here. If you are into design, architecture or interior, this is your shopping haven.

One of the main reasons we highly recommend this mall due to its uniqueness. You don’t find malls with concept like this in Asia. This is mall is definitely an eye opener and of course will burn a hole in your wallet.

Train: BTS Siam Station

Evening

Talad Rod Fai Ratchada

We are solely recommending Talad Rod Fai Ratchada and taking out other options as this is probably the most convenient and the best Talad Rod Fai night markets. Talad Rod Fai means Train Night Market and there are three of them in Bangkok. The first one was in the city and moved to Talad Rod Fai Srinakarin Train Night Market which is quite far from the city center. Talad Rod Fai Srinakarin Train Night Market is the biggest so far but we find it no point wasting so much time getting there when you have Talad Rod Fai Ratchada in the city. We also discounted other small night markets like Suan Lum Night Bazaar and Saphan Phut Memorial Bridge Night Market in Bangkok. Suan Lum Night Bazaar is still not fully occupied with stalls (the last time we went) and Saphan Phut catered to the locals more. It is better you visit Talad Rod Fai Ratchada or some called it Talad Rod Fai Night Market 2.

What we enjoyed this night market is it is very systematic. It is not a very huge night market and expect to spend at least an hour here. You can get many things here such as souvenir, fashion, apparels and food!

Like other Talad Rod Fai night markets, they always maintained a vintage section selling vintage items. This is the highlight of Talad Rod Fai night markets.

It is also a food fest here in this night market. There are dozens of local food stalls, restaurants and bars to venture. We didn’t cover the food part yet but many of our blogger friends from Malaysia and Singapore compliment the food here. The best part of this night market is it is only 10 minutes walk from MRT Thailand Cultural Centre Station.

Train: MRT Thailand Cultural Centre  Station, EXIT no 3
