IKEA is opening in Penang AVC Aspen Vision City

IKEA will be opening their 3^rd outlet in Penang. This is not a rumour story as I saw the site with my own eyes at Aspen Vision City (AVC) as I went to Penang Design Village Brand Outlet Mall for shopping yesterday. The new IKEA Penang outlet will be next to Penang Design Village Brand Outlet Mall.

From last year’s The Star Online news, it is expected to be completed in third quarter of 2018. Since there are pilling works on the construction site right now, maybe it can be completed on time or probably earlier.

This is a 24-acre park and there will be including condominiums, office towers, international school and a private hospital in their masterplan. They are currently selling the condominiums at RM 600 per square feet in Penang Design Village.

IKEA in Penang will be ideal as the location of Aspen Vision City is near Perak, Kedah, Perlis and Pahang. Looking at the success of the two IKEA outlets in Klang Valley, IKEA Penang will be most likely a hit among the young working adults and young family.

Aspen Vision City is near the new second Penang Bridge and next to Penang Design Village Outlet Mall.
