We are visiting the city of Mons (Bergen) in the south east of Belgium. This is in the French speaking part of the country (La Wallonie). Mons has a great market square with fountains, the city hall and a clock tower. It is nice to walk in this town with parks, churches, art and historical buildings. We were combining our trip with a dance event.

Living in the Netherlands we have a lot of respect for the hotel chain Van der Valk. They provide excellent quality rooms at reasonable rates. When travelling in the Benelux we always try to stay in such a hotel.

We bezoeken de stad Mons (Bergen) in het zuid oosten van België. Dit is het Frans sprekende gedeelte van het land (Wallonië). Mons heeft een prachtige markt met fonteinen, het stadhuis en een kloktoren. Het is gezellig hier te wandelen met parken, kerken, kunst en historische gebouwen. We combineerden deze uitstap met een dansevenement. 

In Nederland wonende hebben we veel respect voor de hotelketen Van der Valk. Ze bieden uitstekende kamer aan voor redelijke prijzen. Als we in de Benelux reizen, proberen we altijd in Van der Valk te logeren.
