This is the main city Square of Ponta Delgada on the Azores. Here you find the most important church as also the remains of the gates to the city. Buildings are well maintained and on the square you find many flower beds.

With all mobile communications, a public telephone booth is no longer required. It received a new destination as small public library. This is a very creative idea.

Dit is het hoofdplein van Ponta Delgada op de Azoren. Hier vind je de belangrijkste kerk en de overblijfselen van een stadspoort. Gebouwen zijn goed onderhouden en op het plein staan verschillende bloemenperken. 

Met de hedendaagse mobiele telefonie zijn publieke telefooncellen niet meer in gebruik. Hier kreeg zo’n telefooncel een nieuwe bestemming als mini bibliotheek. Een heel creatief idee.
