Summer is almost here and along with rising tempetures, you can expect the volume of LAX Traffic to increase as well.

According to The LAX Central Terminal Area (CTA) aproximently 95,000 vehicles enter the airport on a daily basis. With summer fast approaching, you can expect these numbers to multiply exponentially.

As you may or may not know, LAX is currently undergoing a massive remodeling effort that has added to the problem, but the good news is, there are several solutions available to help relieve the daily congestion going in and out of the airport.

Cell Phone Waiting Lot

One of the more convenient solutions is the 24-hour LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Located just outside the airport, on the Northwest corner of 96th Street/Vicksburg Ave., The Cell Phone Waiting Lot allows motorists a parking lot where they can wait for arriving passengers up to two hours for free. That way, you can wait in the comfort of your vehicle until your passenger calls to let you know they have landed, exited the terminal and are ready to be picked up. this avoids the hassle of endlessly circling the loop or having to pay for airport parking. Hotel Shuttles

Many major airport-area hotels and privately operated parking lots provide courtesy transportation from LAX terminals.

Stops for shuttles for hotels are located on the Lower/Arrivals Level islands in front of each terminal under the red sign Hotel Shuttles. Click here for more information.

Shared-ride Services

As of December 2016, LAX agreed to allow third party ride share services like Uber and Lyft to pick up as well as drop off passengers at the various terminals. To reduce the volume of additional traffic, they have created a designated area on the upper level for pick ups and drop offs. Click here for more information.
