Electronic music has been taking over the Austrian Alps since 1993 – growing from a gathering of 50 mates to one of the highlights of Saalbach’s winter season. There are 13 venues to fit in to three days, from open-air stages on the summit to the legendary underground car park.

Horizon Festival: Arinsal, Andorra

Lovers of house, techno and dubstep can expect to see the likes of Floating Points, Ben UFO and Midland at the annual Horizon Festival. Take a turn on the decks at a DJ workshop, and be on the lookout for secret hotel parties to dance until sunrise. The word’s getting out, so get your ticket and head to Andorra now.

This one’s a massive, two-day party on the piste. Dance your ski boots off to music royalty like David Guetta, Steve Angello and Afrojack. It’s free for anyone with a lift pass, so once you’re up the mountain, just grab a drink and get down to some of the best DJs in the world.
