Why Canada is a safe destination for first time backpackers

Canada is a North American Country that is full of massive mountains, extraordinary culture, and surprises even the locals don’t expect from time to time. Add in the unique attractions, extensive road trips, and the opportunities to see wildlife in their natural habitat, and you have a vacation destination you will fall in love with immediately.

Why Canada is a Safe Destination for first time backpackers

Vast Spaces

There are so many places you are going to want to visit around the globe, but I can guarantee that none of them will have the vast spaces that Canada has to offer. There will be times when you are traveling throughout this country and will not see another soul for miles. This makes for not only superb panoramic photos, assuming you have some great photography gear, but also gives you the opportunity to take this country’s nature all in.

Easy Visa Access for the Country

Many countries make foreigners fill out paperwork to obtain visas before they are allowed to travel there. Canada has a fairly lax visa requirement, so even if you do need to get a visa, the process is not that difficult. In fact, you can apply online to make the process even easier. In fact, you can apply online through sites like Byevisa.com to make the process even easier.

Friendly locals

Canada is widely known as the friendlier part of North America. Everyone behaves like neighbours, and it appears to come off very natural to most of them. When you’re traveling in a new country, getting lost and turned around is just part of the game. Fortunately, the locals are more than happy to help you get back on your way, and might even provide some local insight into destinations worth checking out that you might not have considered.

Explore Wide Open Prairies

When you decide to explore wide open prairies in areas like Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, you will have all the personal space you need. These areas of the country are perfect for long hikes, camping, and even skiing during the winter months. Your time in these destinations won’t be complete though until you have seen the largest paperclip in the world in Saskatchewan, a massive fire hydrant in Manitoba, and the Beaverlodge’s huge beaver. It will be the little things like these that will bring a smile to your face, as you spend quite a bit of time in the great outdoors.

The prairies are best explored with a car, campervan, or RV. Campgrounds are easily found all over this region, allowing you to enjoy lakefront views and big sky sunsets. It’s also one of the most affordable ways to stay in Canada throughout the summer and early fall (July-Sept)

Stay in Jasper

Nighttime in Canada is spectacular, especially when you take the time to stay in areas like Jasper. This is one of the best parts of the world to see the nighttime sky and all the stars that sparkle in it. While you can be anywhere in Jasper to appreciate the beauty, I recommend the Dark Sky Preserve within Jasper National Park. This is the second largest Dark Sky Preserve in the entire world. The goal of this preserve is to keep the area as dark as possible, so you can thoroughly enjoy the stars each and every night of your visit. The views are always free, and the memories you’ll make here are worth more than any luxury resort getaway.

Enjoy the Beaches in Nova Scotia

If you are looking for a Beach vacation, you do not need to look any further than the beaches in Nova Scotia. This entire section of Canada is surrounded by the water, so you will have more beach options than you can count. Whether you choose the sandy shorelines at Crystal Crescent, Martinique, Rissers Beach, Melmerby Beach, or one of the others, all your beach vacation dreams will come true!

Travel in Canada is very easy to get accustomed to. Drivers are fairly easy-going, the language (primarily English with a touch of French) is easy to get by. The food is terrific. One thing that will never change about Canada is the beauty and safety that the country of Canada offers. Plan your trip today and enjoy everything you can see in this spectacular part of the world!
