Goa hearing this name we would get some different vibes within us. Same when I got to know that I am going to goa I was at the peak of happiness and was full of excitement. so yes, it’s a Goa travel blog. Rohith Wilson the author got to show you some of my travel experiences in Goa. let us go

Every friend’s gang would have discussed this topic which is ” A TRIP TO GOA ” right So same me and my friends discussed it but we couldn’t make it out. For the first time, I am going to go with my family, not friends that’s the saddest part of this journey.

My trip started in Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore which is my native town. Half of my family started their trip a couple of days before mine unfortunately I had my final semester exams so I couldn’t go with them. After the completion of my exams, I said I would join them in Goa. On 31st May of 2023 the day when my exams got over the very same day, I booked a flight to Goa where I had a different kind of feel. The exact way to say is Like “a dog with two tails” because the day exams got over and the same day I am flying to Goa. I booked my tickets in Indigo flight it was a direct flight from Coimbatore. This direct flight was from Coimbatore to North Goa I will give the flight details and booking details alone in a separate section.

On 31st May 0f 2023 after the completion of my exam, I directly went to the airport which was quite close to my college. My flight was scheduled for 6:40 pm so I had to board before 5:50 pm where I went around 5:30 pm. The flight started at 6:35 pm and it was a nice journey seeing all those blue skies and clouds and especially seeing a beautiful sunset and am a huge fan of seeing sunsets. So by 7:30, we reached Goa Dabolim(GOI) so this is the goa airport code. You can find cabs station outside the airport and in Goa to book any cab you need to install a separate app called “GOAMILES” which is their authorized cab booking app.

Then we checked into the hotel which was located in Panaji near a lake which was good to see at night. This hotel was so comfortable for families which had 3 A/C rooms and one big hall the name of this hotel is “Souza holiday home” I will pin the details of this hotel if you are going with family and this would be the best place to stay. This place would be the best for a budget goa family stay. You can find a fish market near the hotel which was a good place to buy various varieties of fish. Mostly we didn’t buy food from outside instead we cooked in the hotels. The hotel has cooking facilities and they provide all the necessary items to cook which made our work easy.

The Basilica of Bom Jesus is big and one of the oldest churches in India which was constructed during Portuguese rule in Goa. The construction of the church started in 1594 and end in 1605. Saint Francis has been buried in the church. People of all communities can come here to visit the church as it is believed that the saint has the miraculous power of healing. People are given a chance to see the body of the saint after every 10 years. For more details regards this place refer.

I was so curious about this church because it was one of the oldest churches in the world and it is said that after the demise of St Francis Xavier on December 3, 1552, he was first buried in China. Later his body was taken back to Portuguese Malacca in March of 1553. And finally, in December of the same year, his mortal remains were shipped back to Goa. All this while, his body remained as fresh as the day he was first buried.

To talk about the Architecture of the church it is built using baroque architecture style. The church interior has a vast artistic work and the church boasts of many paintings walls, ceilings and pillars done by artist

When it comes to breathtaking beaches, Goa stands unrivaled, and Palolem Beach is no exception. Palolem Beach is nested in the southern part of Goa and it’s the main tourist attraction in south Goa. The sight of golden sands stretching as far as my eyes can see and crystal-clear waters beckoning me to take a refreshing dip leaves me mesmerized. It was about 12 noon, and the weather was scorching hot and sunny. The sight of the blue waves rushing toward me made me feel excited and thrilled.

Adventure enthusiasts will feel thrilled by the variety of water sports available at Clova Beach. You can go parasailing high above the beautiful blue waters or enjoy jet skiing through playful waves, which will give you an unmatched adrenaline rush. If you like exploring underwater, try snorkeling and scuba diving to see the mesmerizing marine life beneath the surface. And for a unique mix of excitement and tranquility, give windsurfing and kiteboarding a try.

As the day was coming to an end, I saw the beach transform into a canvas of colors during the breathtaking sunset. I witnessed the sun dip into the horizon, painting the sky in beautiful shades of orange, pink, and purple. The magical sight of the setting sun left me in awe, and it created an unforgettable memory for me to cherish.
