Moreover, evidence of historical influence in language shines through. For example, during the British rule “Gravy”, “Shoemaker”, “Chalk” leaning into Menorquí words “grevi”, “xumaquer” and “xoc”.

Do They Speak English In Menorca?

Over the years Menorca has had a big influence by England and the British rule of the island, but also English speaking tourists over the years enjoy the warm climate and bright blue Mediterranean sea.
