Morocco can be extremely hot and unbearable during summer (June to August) therefore it is the worst time to visit.

Although Morocco is a destination full of charming tourist sports, I have chosen the best places to visit in Morocco for you based on my personal experience and help from other fellow travelers. 

Chefchaouen

Chefchaouen, often called the “Blue Pearl,” is a charming town known for its calming blue-washed buildings. This peaceful destination located in the Rif Mountains offers a serene escape. 

Spring and early summer (March to June) provide comfortable weather for exploration, therefore are among the best time to visit. Some of the famous tourist spots here include: 

  • Plaza Uta el-Hammam

Asilah

Asilah, a picturesque coastal town, is a hidden gem along Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Its charming beaches, historic medina, and vibrant arts scene make it among the best places to visit in Morocco for those seeking a quieter coastal experience.

  • Bahia Palace

The Sahara Desert is a majestic world of sand that offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Embark on a camel trek and witness breathtaking sunsets over the vast sands. 

If you want to have the best desert experience, plan your visit in Spring and autumn (March to May, September to November). Additionally, once you are here, do not forget to visit:

Fez
