The Latvian airline airBaltic has announced that it will be opening a seasonal base, which will be outside the Baltic region. The carrier has advised it will be Las Palmas, Gran Canaria for the upcoming winter season with the base opening at the end of October 2023.
During the winter period, the carrier will base two Airbus A220-300 aircraft at Gran Canaria Airport, which will be serving 10 direct routes.
