Vueling recorded an 83.08% punctuality rate of flights operated in April, according to the latest figures published by aviation consultancy group Cirium
The Airline operated the second highest number of flights out of all airlines in the top ten of Europe
Vueling is also within the list of the top ten most punctual low-cost airlines worldwide, one of only three European airlines which made the list
Vueling, part of IAG, was the second most punctual low-cost airline in Europe for April 2023, with an index of 83.08% across more than 19,300 flights operated, according to Cirium, the global consultancy specialised in aviation analysis.
The recent report "The On-Time Performance Review" places Vueling in sixth place in the ranking of European airline punctuality and within the list of the top ten most punctual low-cost airlines worldwide.
According to Oliver Iffert, Chief Operations Officer at Vueling, "these results reflect our commitment to excellence across all our operations and the efforts of everyone involved with Vueling.”
Cirium's punctuality reports for airlines and airports is the oldest analysis of its kind in the industry, having started in 2008. The analysis is based on flight data from over 600 sources of real-time flight information, with a board of independent advisors, ensuring an accurate and balanced view of airlines' punctuality analysis.
The company continues to remain high on punctuality rankings after 2022, when it was recognised by Cirium as the second most punctual 'low cost' airline in Europe throughout the year.
Vueling, part of IAG, is one of the main low-cost airlines in Europe and a key player in connections with Spain. In addition, Vueling is also a leading brand at the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport, and in other important markets such as the city of Bilbao as well as the market between the mainland and the Balearic and Canary Islands.
