Tour Overview
Day 1 : Marrakech to Ouarzazate through Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and Dades Valley
On the first day, we will embark on a journey through the Atlas Mountains, taking in the breathtaking views of Berber villages and panoramic landscapes. Our tour will include a visit to the largest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning example of architectural mud buildings. We will also explore Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, and the capital cinema where many famous movies were filmed.
Day 2 : Todra Gorges to Merzouga via Dades Valley
We will begin the second day with a magnificent journey through the highlands, past the unique rock formations known as the monkey fingers, before arriving at the Todra Gorges, a stunning network of gorges cut by flowing rivers. We will also stop in Touroug, a Berber village, for lunch and a visit to the Berber fabric cooperative. Later in the day, we’ll drive to Erfoud, the date capital, and then to Merzouga, where you’ll go on a camel trek and see the spectacular sunset on the dunes. We’ll gather around the fire in the evening for a melodic drum performance under the stars.
Day 3 : Merzouga ~ Rissani ~ Agdez ~ Ourzazate ~ Marrakech
On the third day, we will wake up early to witness the magical sunrise from the top of the dunes before continuing our journey to Rissani, an old city known for its traditional souk and past transportation means of mules and donkeys. Our drive will then take us through the palm tree groves of Draa Valley to Agdez, where we will stop for lunch. Our tour will continue through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, and then along the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, where we can make stops at interesting sites along the way.
