These events are usually held at clubs, bars, or other venues in the San Diego area, and typically feature live music or DJ sets by artists who have performed at the festival. Know the CRSSD Stages

There are three different stages at CRSSD and they typically have different types of music.

CRSSD Palms Stage

This is the stage as you walk into the festival. This music is mostly some variation of HOUSE music. This is the feel good happy music or energetic bangers. You’ll find a lot of the headliners playing at the Palms Stage.

City Steps

This stage is in the middle of the venue and as in the name it’s in front of the City Building (steps). This is where you’ll find your techno and hardcore shit. One of my personal favorite spot and where I find a lot of new music. You’re ears might be ringing here as the thumping it’s wild, but it’s worth it.

Ocean View

This is at the end of the venue and it’s the biggest area. This is where the end of night major headliners will be to play for the biggest audience. Normally throughout the day there really is a mix of different types of music. For the most part this is the most low key sounds and are wildly people pleasing.

Crssd Rookie Moves

  • Not going to the merch tent first. They sell out of shit quick and don’t really have a lot of restock the next day. If you really want the best selection you need to do this first.
  • Not getting a locker, you don’t want to hold on to that jacket all day. You and your friends can split a locker it’s well worth it.
  • Don’t go in right before the first well known headliner. You’ll probably miss the show and you’ll be standing in the longest line.
  • The bar in the center is the easiest to get drinks most the time. This is by City Steps stage.
  • Drink water. You might be slamming drinks and some shit is kicking in, but don’t die. Get water, they provide a water bottle filing station is you don’t want to buy it. Fans are permitted one 24oz Nalgene style clear bottle for refills. No Camelbaks or bladders will be allowed at entry. Buy one here on Amazon.
  • If you go to the Ocean View stage first you’ll have less lines at the bars and bathrooms.
  • If there are huge lines for the bathrooms guys go to the urinals section they are by the ocean view bathrooms.
  • Keep moving, if you sit down by the water too long you’ll probably get stuck.
