It is the most sacred river in Hinduism and has many tributaries, such as the Yamuna, Gomti, Ghaghra, Gandak, Kosi, Son, Damodar, and Hooghly.

The Brahmaputra originates in Tibet and flows through Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Bangladesh before joining the Ganges and Meghna rivers.

It is one of the largest rivers in the world in terms of flow and has many tributaries such as Subansiri, Dibang, Lohit, Manas, Teesta, and Barak.

The Godavari River

The Godavari rises in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra and flows through Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Puducherry before emptying into the Bay of Bengal.

It is the longest river in peninsular India and has many tributaries, such as the Pranahita, Indravati, Manjira, Wainganga, Wardha, Penganga, and Sabari.

The Krishna River

The Krishna originates in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra and flows through Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh before emptying into the Bay of Bengal.

It is the second longest river in peninsular India and has many tributaries, such as the Bhima, Tungabhadra, Koyna, Ghataprabha, Malaprabha, Musi, and Muneru.
