It has its headquarters at Saket and is divided into three subdivisions: Saket, Hauz Khas, and Mehrauli. It is bordered by the Yamuna River in the east, New Delhi in the north, and the Faridabad and Gurgaon districts of Haryana in the south and west respectively.

Some of the famous places in South Delhi are

Qutub Minar: 73 meter high minaret and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the oldest monuments in Delhi and includes a complex of other historic structures.

Lotus Temple: A Bahá’í house of worship in the shape of a lotus flower. It is open to people of all religions and has a peaceful environment. It is also well known for its architecture and gardens.

India Gate: A war memorial and a symbol of national pride. It is located at the end of Rajpath and an eternal flame keeps burning in honor of the martyred soldiers.

There are many other places to visit in South Delhi like Mehrauli Archaeological Park, Hauz Khas Village, Humayun’s Tomb, Sarojini Nagar Market etc.
