OMG 2 Movie Review: Story

Amit Rai crafts a captivating Movie OMG 2 starring Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar that contains a well-balanced amount of humor and a social message. 

The story revolves around Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi), a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, who owns a puja shop next to a temple, is a loving husband, father of two children, and an all-around decent man. His life is turned upside down when his son Vivek (Aarush Verma) is expelled from school on the grounds of lewd and obscene behavior and is hospitalized due to exhaustion caused by excessive masturbation after a video goes on. His act in the school bathroom went viral online.

When Kanti plans to run away with her family to avoid being scorned, God's messenger (Akshay Kumar) guides her and sets her on a moral path so that she can fight for her son. When Kanti learns that her son has in fact been a victim of propaganda and misdirection, she decides to take matters into her own hands. He takes the school administration, babas, sex therapists, a doctor, and a chemist to court who helped Vivek become aware of his sexual needs. He is then pitted against English-speaking lawyer Kamini Maheshwari (Yami Gautam), and the two argue before Judge Purushottam Nagar (Pawan Malhotra).
