Rajasthan is a state in northern India. It covers 342,239 square kilometres or 10.4 per cent of India's total geographical area. It is the largest Indian state by area and the seventh largest by population.

   TOURISM POTENTIAL IN RAJASTHAN 

Tourism accounts for approximately 15 per cent of the Rajasthan's economy and provides economic benefits like foreign exchange earnings, regional development, infrastructure development and promotion of local handicraft.



TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN RAJASTHAN 
There are various tourist attractions.some of those are .

1. HAWA MAHAL 

The Hawa Mahal is a palace in the city of Jaipur, India. Built from red and pink sandstone, it is on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers.

2. JAL MAHAL

Jal Mahal is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace was originally constructed in 1699; the building and the lake around it were later renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.

3.NAHARGARH FORT 

Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defence ring for the city

4. JAIGARH FORT 

Jaigarh Fort is situated on the promontory called the Cheel ka Teela of the Aravalli range; it overlooks the Amer Fort and the Maota Lake, near Amer in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The fort was built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1726 to protect the Amer Fort and its palace complex and was named after him. 

      SPECIALITY OF RAJASTHAN
Rajasthan is famous for textiles, semi-precious stones, and handicrafts, as well as for its traditional and colorful art. Rajasthani furniture is known for its intricate carvings and bright colours. Block prints, tie and dye prints, Bagaru prints, Sanganer prints and Zari embroidery are famous.

ESTIMATE REVENUE
State's own tax revenue: Total own tax revenue of Rajasthan is estimated to be Rs 98,294 crore in 2022-23, an increase of 19% over the revised estimate of 2021-22. This is higher than the growth rate of Rajasthan's GSDP at 11.6% in 2022-23.
