How to Get Around Ibiza

The best way to get around if you’re spending 3 days in Ibiza is by car or scooter. You can rent a car or scooter at the airport or in Ibiza Town. Alternatively, you can use the local bus service, which connects most of the major towns and beaches on the island.

3 Days in Ibiza

Day 1: Exploring Ibiza Town

On your first day in Ibiza, we recommend exploring the island’s capital city, Ibiza Town. You can reach the city by taking a taxi from the airport or a ferry from the mainland.

If you’re staying in Ibiza Town, we recommend booking a hotel in the historic Dalt Vila area. It’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in Ibiza’s rich history and culture.

Start your walking tour of Ibiza Town from the top of Dalt Vila, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the sea. As you make your way down the hill, stop by Sa Penya, a colorful neighborhood that’s home to some of the island’s best bars and restaurants.

Next, head to the Ibiza Cathedral, a beautiful Gothic church that’s over 700 years old. From there, stroll down the picturesque cobblestone streets of the city and check out the local shops and boutiques.

For lunch, head to La Bodega Tapas Bar and indulge in some delicious Spanish tapas. After lunch, visit the Puig des Molins Museum, where you can learn about the island’s ancient history and see the world’s largest collection of Phoenician artifacts.

In the evening, head back to Dalt Vila and explore the castle and the historic walls, which are illuminated at night. You can also catch a live music performance or enjoy some drinks at one of the many bars in the area.

Day 2: Beach Day

No trip to Ibiza is complete without a day at the beach. Start your day early and head to Cala Bassa, one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. You can rent a sunbed and umbrella and spend the day lounging on the soft sand and swimming in the crystal-clear water.

If you’re staying in Ibiza Town, you can rent a car or take a bus to get to these beaches. Once you arrive, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe on the sandy beaches, or go snorkeling to explore the underwater world.

For lunch, head to Cala Bassa Beach Club and enjoy some fresh seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. After lunch, explore the nearby coves and beaches, or rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore the coastline.

In the evening, head back to your hotel and watch the sunset from your balcony or terrace. You can also head to one of the many beach bars and watch the sun go down over the sea.

Day 3: Boat Trip

On your last day in Ibiza, we recommend taking a boat trip around the island. You can book a private boat or join a group tour, and explore the hidden coves and beaches that are only accessible by sea.

Stop at Formentera, a nearby island with crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches, and enjoy a swim or a snorkel in the turquoise water. After your boat trip, head back to your hotel and get ready for your last night in Ibiza.

For dinner, head to Can Caus and try some traditional Ibicenco dishes. After dinner, explore the nightlife in Ibiza Town or head to one of the many beach clubs and dance the night away.
