Summer Season In Ladakh

The summer season is between April and June in Ladakh, when the temperature ranges between 5°C and 25°C. The month of May marks the beginning of tourist season in Ladakh.


Monsoon Season In Ladakh

Since Ladakh falls in a high-altitude region, it receives no to very little rain between July and September. This is the best time to visit Ladakh.


Winter Season In Ladakh

Winter season is from October to February in Ladakh. The entire region receives heavy snowfall which sometimes leads to the blocking of roads. Nonetheless, Ladakh is accessible during winter via flights.


How to Reached Ladakh - 


Ladakh Travel By Air 


The capital city, Leh has a domestic airport, Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, which connects Ladakh to a large number of cities in India with regular flights. The airport is basically a military airbase and is situated some odd 5 km from Leh city. Ladakh has all the day flights and no night flights are allowed at the airport. The airport is well connected with destinations like Delhi, Jammu, Mumbai, Srinagar and Chandigarh.

Ladakh By Road

Ladakh by road is accessible from two sides: Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The National Highway 1 connects Ladakh to Kashmir via the Zoji La high mountain pass. From Himachal Pradesh’s side, the Leh-Manali Highway connects Ladakh to this neighbouring state. Srinagar in Kashmir is located at a distance of 419 km, Manali on the other hand is situated 473 km away from Leh.

By Road - 

Via Manali, Himachal Pradesh - 

For all those planning to reach via Manali, there are only two buses available run by HRTC Buses and HPTDC Semi Deluxe Tourist buses. HRTC are public transport buses that stop only at important food joints while the HPTDC, which are semi-deluxe buses are available for tourists only from 1st July to 15th September every season and does all the sightseeing on the Manali – Leh Highway. Some HRTC Buses are available from Delhi too, which covers a total distance of 1260 km. The total travel time is about 35 hours. Some private buses also run between Leh and Manali.

Via Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir 

Deluxe buses by JKSRTC Srinagar are available from Leh to Srinagar almost daily. From Srinagar, the buses start at 8 in the morning and take a halt at Kargil. Timings of these buses mainly depend upon the climate condition at the Zojila Pass. If not comfortable with the idea of the public tourism buses then there are many tempo travelers available too from Srinagar, which also runs overnight.


Top Travel Destination In Ladakh - 

Leh, the capital city of the Union Territory of Ladakh, offers you with a wide range of sightseeing options. There are several monasteries, with the famous ones being Hemis, Alchi, Spituk & Matho. Other must see places are Shanti Stupa, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pattar Sahib, War Museum & the Leh market, which is a great place for shopping in Ladakh.

Kargil, famously known as the gateway to Ladakh, is home to ancient monasteries like Mulbekh, Rangdum & Sani. A top sightseeing attraction in Kargil is the Kargil War Memorial, which commemorates the Kargil War which occurred between India & Pakistan in 1999. Although Zanskar is a top tourist place to visit in Ladakh because of the Chadar Trek which is done on the frozen Zanskar River, there are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing. You could visit its famous gompas like Bardam, Karsha, Phugtal, Sani & Zongkhul, or explore the lovely landscape dotted with mountains & streams and the panoramic views that greet you everywhere you go.

In Nubra Valley, you come across a lunar landscape, double humped Bactrian camels, villages like Hunder & Turtuk, which seem to have existed since time immemorial, and Panamik Village, famous for its hot water springs. The second highest motorable pass in the world, Khardung La, which connects Leh to Nubra Valley, is a top tourist attraction. Other places to visit in Nubra Valley are Samstanling Monastery, Yarab Tso and Diskit Monastery.


Tour Itinerary - 

Day 1 - Arrive Leh - 

Upon arrival you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisureto acclimatize followed by Welcome tea or Coffee at the Hotel. Evening visit Shanti Stupa. Later visit the market (stay for 01houronly). Return back to the hotel for Overnight stay.

Day 2 - Sham Valley Excursion Up to Sangam 

After breakfast you drive downstream alongthe River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. And start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian, and proceed further to Gurudwara PattharSahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity & further Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the Confluence Of The Indus And ZanskarRiver. After visitingabove places, we drive back to Lehenroute visiting Spituk Monastery, built in 15th century during the reign of Grags ‘bum-lde, these new Gelug-pamonasteries was built like

  fortress on the summit of crags. Later return back to Leh. Rest of the day free on own.


 Day 3 - Leh - Nubra Valley Via Khardhung La  18,390 ft. (120 kms / 5-6 hrs)

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road in The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all theway south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giantsof the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas.The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. Above sea level.

Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villagesto see how the locals live in this part of the

  world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel.

Day 4 - Nubra - Turtuk- Nubra

After breakfast leave for visit to Turtuk.

Turtuk is about as close as you can get to Pakistan in India, physically and literally. This delightful village is crunched into the narrowing Shyok River valley in the furthest corner of India,right at the tippy-top of the map. Only when the Indo-Pakistan war ended in 1971, Turtuk(together with 5 other Balti villages) was then included within the Indian line of border control. It remained off limits until a few years ago and keepingit well off the beaten track. Turtuk in every sense a treat – culturally intact, untainted by tourism and simply delightful. Return back to Nubravalley for overnight stay.


Day 5 - Nubra to Panong


After an early breakfast checkout and head for PangongTso via shyok. Travel time is approximately 5-6 hrs. On arrival at Pangong, check into camp forovernight stay.


Day 6 - Panong Lake To Leh 


Wake up calls by the migratory birds this morning. Indulge in the walk besidethe lake or go for a photography splurge. Later depart for Leh enroute visit Hemis Gompa. On arrival at Leh, check into your hotel. Rest of the day free on own. Overnight in Leh.


Day 7 - Drop At Airport 


Thanks, you for your patronage. Transfer to Leh Airport to catch the flight to your onward Destination.
