Brooklyn Museum Exhibit Ideas

David Bowie traveling exhibition

The new David Bowie traveling Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum includes more than seventy-five items from the artist’s vault, including more than 50 costumes. The show includes over 40 pioneering music videos and rare footage of Bowie’s Diamond Dogs tour. In addition to the exhibit’s physical objects, visitors will be able to hear audio recordings of Bowie’s music.

The exhibition also includes handwritten lyrics, a bespoke computer program, stage and prop designs, and his famous platform shoes. It also features reference materials, including his personal collection of books and his collaborations with other rock stars. In addition to the visual and audio elements, the exhibit also contains a richly illustrated catalog with essays written by Victoria Broackes and Geoffrey Marsh, as well as by Camille Paglia and Jon Savage. African art
