Mons social scene and nightlife is appropriately filled with venues to enjoy a drink outdoors such as street drinks and partying in the middle of traffic. But it is a habit in Belgium to drink on the street or on sidewalks and it is even more difficult to reach the inside of the venue because the entrance is packed with people.

There are spots all over the city where you can enjoy a beer, a glass of wine or cocktails and some nibbles. It’s called ‘apéro’ in French…and some are so long that you will be not able to go to a restaurant for a meal after. Belgium locals are very friendly so do not afraid to meet and have drinks with them.

L’atelier:

L’atelier is open Wednesday to Saturday night, one of the best spots in town, Dj Friday and Saturday night, long counter and shelf filled with a lot of spirit bottles that make this place unique. The speciality of this bar is its shooters, an impressive menu with more than 250 different ones. There you have to enjoy your drink on the sidewalk and even on the street.

Modjo loundge:

Open recently, The Modjo is one of the most beautiful bars in town and a place to enjoy great cocktails. interior decor worthy of the greats lounge, leather seats, wooden wall, led lighting and a stunning counter. Cocktail lovers must come here, fresh, delicious and nice to see the bartenders make them. There is recently a Dj playing on Friday and Saturday now.

Chinchin:

The chinchin is a cult place for nightlife in Mons, a must-try! located not far from the grand place of Mons. This bar is a vaulted cellar with an old stone wall, nice lighting and maybe the best music playlist in town. You cannot leave Mons before coming here and trying the famous “Chinchin drink”.

A hushed atmosphere, a nice map of gin, whiskey and beer and a super nice waiter. A well-hidden address that is worth the detour. A huge terrace in a tranquil area, more lively on Friday and Saturday night. At the top, beautiful atmosphere. Very good IPA beers. Large choice of drinks, cool staff, varied musical atmosphere with some concert or DJs. Mood bar…a place to go

The Quartier Latin, is a bar that has been part of the life of the locals for over 30 years! A friendly place where all generations mingle and make it a unique place in Mons. For wine and beer lovers. A very small charming friendly bar with a vegan specialty. This is a place to go when you are in the mood to discover something new. If you don’t know anything about wine then go there and taste something new.
There is a good vibe in Levures & Tannins, the owner is very sympathetic and very knowledgeable. This place will transport you to another level.

Tam-tam Cocktails bar:

So, you need some holiday feelings, exotics beaches, sun and delicious cocktails… the Tam-tam is where you have to go when you are missing the “Copacabana” vibes.
Very nice designed holidays bamboo style bar/hut, exotic islands music and atmosphere. The Tam-Tam propose an Intensive cocktails menu with very fresh fruits and veggies, Incredible spirits choice with a friendly staff.
