Once a bustling factory, the site in Walterclough Valley now stands in ruins. In 1905, Henry Victor Allen transformed the existing Halifax Glazed Brickworks into a producer of world-renowned refractory bricksknown for their high-temperature resistance and used in kilns, furnaces, and fireplaces.
