Everest Base Camp Trek aka EBC Trek is one of the renowned trekking destinations in Nepal. It’s an amazing journey to the base camp of the world’s highest point Mt. Everest 8848.86m. 1: Namche Bazar

As a trekker, you can see many things there. There are monasteries, a Buddhist stupa, Museum School, and many local shops. Usually, hikers will spend 2 nights there but they mostly hike to the Everest viewpoint and back to the hotel. While you are there try to explore the Namche Bazar. 

2: Khumjung Village 

Khumjung is another huge village in the Upper Khumbu region. This village is a sherpa village that was born with many legendary Everest climbers. Visiting there you can see the typical houses, Buddhist stupas, and Monasteries. It is believed that there is a Yeti Skule in the Monastery of Khumjung Village. You can visit there while you are hiking to the Everest view hotel while staying in Namche Bazar. 

3: Tengboche Monastery. 

Tengboche Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in the Solukhumnu district of Nepal. Usually, people will visit there when they do Everest Trek. Because they have to spend the night at Tengboche village. But you visit there when the daily ceremony going on. You can attend that ceremony and take a blessing from one of the monks from the monastery. 

4: Nagarkyang View Point 

Nagarkyang Viewpoint is a 5000m high viewpoint before you step into the Everest Base Camp. You can hike here while taking a rest day in Dingboche. Climbing up there will take around 2/3 hours depending on your walking ability. The view from the top is really spectacular. Viewing the panoramic mountains is just beyond the imagination. Dramatic landscapes view with the highest villages are really a phenomenon.

Best time to go to EBC 

The best time to do Everest Base Camp Trek stands is between March to May during the spring season. And second, an excellent time is between September to November during the autumn season. During these seasons, the weather, for this reason, will be suitable and the temperature will be ideal to do the EBC Trek.

Needed Permits for EBC Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek is a trek inside the Sagarmatha National Park. That is the national park will charge you the national park entree permit fee. Alongside a national park permit, you need to pay local government tax. And need to have TIMS Card (Trekking Information Management System). A national park permit can get from the national park office in Manju village. The TIMS Card you can get from the Nepal tourism board Bhrikutimandap Kathmandu for individual trekkers.
