Madison Mountain Biking Clothing

I’m the first to admit that I’m a bit of a fair-weather mountain biker. My bike hasn’t had anywhere near as much use as it should have done over the winter months. But now that summer is just around the corner and there are more daylight hours to play with, I’ve suddenly felt motivated to get out on the trails again. I’ve also had the pleasure of testing out some mountain biking gear from Madison on my recent rides, so if you’re looking for some new gear for a summer of mountain biking, here’s my quick review of the Madison Flux long-sleeve jersey and Madison Flux shorts.

Madison Flux Long-Sleeved Jersey

First, let’s talk about the Madison Flux men’s long-sleeved jersey.

This jersey is designed to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable while tearing up the trails. The lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric of the jersey kept me feeling fresh and dry even during intense uphill climbs – and believe me, I was sweating up the hills after a winter of laziness.

The relaxed but minimalist fit was a welcome change from some of the more baggy jerseys I’ve worn in the past. I found the dropped hem to be a real bonus as it provided better coverage and protection from the elements.

The enduro mesh helped to improve breathability, which was crucial on a warm spring day. The antibacterial fabric treatment was a plus, too, ensuring that I didn’t have to worry about any lingering odours after a long day on the trails.

It’s safe to say that I was pretty impressed with Madison Flux jersey and I know I’m going to get plenty of use out of it over the next few months.

Madison Flux Shorts

Now, let’s talk about the Madison Flux men’s shorts.

These shorts really are great for mountain biking. The multi-way stretch material of the shorts provided all-day comfort and allowed for great manoeuvrability on the bike. The quick-adjust ratchet with micro intervals was a game-changer, allowing me to adjust the shorts on the go without any hassle.

The shorts have a C6 DWR coating that is designed to keep trail spray at bay when riding through puddles and streams. And the double and triple needle stitching in all the right areas ensures the shorts are built to last.

I was also pleased with the storage options, including two large zip pockets, a phone pocket and a secure zip pocket. These pockets were really useful for stashing snacks, keys and my phone, and they kept everything secure throughout the ride.

On my rides around the Cannock Chase MTB trails, both the jersey and shorts performed flawlessly. I never once felt uncomfortable and the gear allowed me to focus on my ride without any distractions. The moisture-wicking fabric of the jersey kept me cool and dry, while the shorts provided excellent manoeuvrability and breathability.

If you’re in the market for some high-quality mountain biking gear for the upcoming mountain biking season, the Madison Flux long-sleeve jersey and Madison Flux shorts are both great options. They’re lightweight, practical, stylish, and built to last. I highly recommend them to any mountain biker looking to up their game on the trails.
