Easter Eggs at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Flowers are in full bloom and Easter isn’t far away. There’s no better time to plan at trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! As winter turns to spring, Walt Disney World has fresh details blooming all over property. From new festivals and dining experiences to limited-time offerings, you never know what fun you’ll find both in and out of the Disney parks!

Easter Eggs

We were there for the moment that these masterpieces were paraded out into the lobby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. While some chocolate egg designs are classic that return year after year, there’s always new designs to marvel over. One thing that’s so special about this parade in the lobby is that the artists behind each culinary masterpiece get to roll out their eggs! This year’s parade was led by the Head Baker at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Once the eggs are rolled around the lobby, the cast works together to place each egg in its new home.

With all of the eggs displayed, we’re welcome to take in all of the beauty of this collection! While some eggs are fairly simple, others have breathtaking textures, accessories, lights, and more. It blows us away every year to take them all in. Check out our vlog below to watch the parade, the egg setups, and a look at the details behind each of this year’s eggditions!

These are a few of our favorites:

  • Main Street Electrical Parade
  • Figment and Spaceship Earth
  • Walt with Cinderella Castle
  • Stitch Munchling
  • Country Bear Jamboree
  • Daisy’s House
  • Orange Bird
  • Mater
  • Princess and the Frog
  • Kevin and her babies

We had the opportunity to speak with Fabi, the cast member behind the EPIC Kevin Easter Egg. She shared that the Kevin egg featured 1968 feathers and took about three months to create! We shared even more of our conversations with the culinary artists in our vlog, so don’t forget to check that out.

The Grand Cottage

If you find yourself craving something sweet while viewing these chocolate masterpieces, you’re in luck. The Grand Cottage has fresh treats available daily for you to purchase. From cake pops and rice crispy treats to chocolate bunnies and more, there’s something for everyone at this sweet shop!

The Grand Cottage appeared for the first time in spring last year and we were so excited to see it return for the season. The Cast Members made great recommendations for what fresh treats to try, so don’t be afraid to ask what their favorite sweet may be. Still can’t decide? The Grand Cottage offers a package deal of seven bakery items for $50! With so many sweets to choose from, this may be the best way to go when trying to sample so many limited-time eats.

We couldn’t help ourselves and bought a box to bring home! We were so excited to try the carrot cake chocolate bar, fruity pebble rice crispy treats, truffles, and all of the chocolate deliciousness.

The best part about these unique displays is that no theme park ticket is required! If you’re in the Orlando area, we highly recommend stopping by Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to marvel at these chocolate egg displays before they’re gone. As Easter gets closer, we’ll be sharing even more ways to celebrate hopperly at Walt Disney World!
